Challenge of Research and Educational Chemistry in Global Era

Background
Chemistry has affected into various kind of human life. In order to increase chemistry awareness, the chemistry international organization such as IUPAC has announced that 2011 is a chemistry year.
The challenge of the chemistry year in global era is increasing quality of research in chemistry and chemical education. Its have to be carried out by collaboration within regional and global institutions. The cooperation should give advantages into both sides.

The international schools from elementary to high education levels have entered and grown up rapidly in many big cities in Indonesia. On other side, the Indonesia schools can also be established in other countries. Meanwhile every country has unique and specific potential people cultures which can be developed specifically. These phenomena are the challenge to organize education in this unlimited era.

The seminar comprises plenary and parallel sessions in the form of both oral and poster presentations on the researches of chemistry, chemical education and organization based international competition.
We, the organizing committee are pleased to cordially invite you to contribute in this seminar.

Objectives
The seminar will serve as an excellent opportunity for scientists, industry personnel, lecturers, teachers to discuss views, trends, exchange knowledge, establish links and lead us in the right direction while stepping into the next global competition which based on local potential.

Programs
The seminar will be held at JICA Building, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education, Indonesia University of Education, Jl. Dr. Setiabudhi 229 Bandung on Saturday and Sunday, 9 and 10 October 2010.

4. Prof. Dr. Hj. Anna Permanasari, M.Si. (Department of Chemistry Education – Indonesia University of Education)
