Menulis dengan Hati, Tembus Gramedia

Satu hal yang sering mengganjal hasrat saya dalam menulis buku adalah bagaimana buku saya bisa menembus penerbit. Keraguan itu telah beberapa kali menghentikan langkah saya dalam menulis. Sebelumnya saya pernah membayangkan sulitnya bisa menembus penerbit. Bayang-bayang ketidakmungkinan (impossibility) selalu menghantui pikiran saya saat itu. Dampak buruk dari Bayang-bayang impossibility tersebut seringkali mengendorkan semangat saya dalam menulis.
Hal itu sebenarnya bertentangan dengan prinsip menulis. Prinsip menulis yang benar adalah “tuangkan seluruh ide atau gagasan yang ada di benak kita kedalam bentuk tulisan”. Abaikan dulu kualitas tulisan. Yang terpenting adalah tumpahkan seluruh amunisi (materi tulisan) yang Anda miliki dan jangan berhenti sebelum amunisinya habis. Yang demikian ini adalah prinsip menulis yang benar.
Bagaimana dengan kualitas tulisan? Kualitas tulisan dapat Anda lakukan pada sesi editing. Secara singkat dapat saya simpulkan bahwa menulis yang efektif dapat Anda lakukan melalui dua langkah yaitu Proses Menulis dan Proses Editing. Proses menulis adalah saat bagi seorang penulis untuk menumpahkan seluruh ide/gagasan yang sudah terkumpul di kepala. Sedangkan proses editing merupakaan saat dimana seorang penulis memperbaiki kualitas tulisan.
Manakala kedua langkah itu sudah Anda lakukan, saatnya bagi Anda untuk mengirimkan hasil tulisan Anda ke media masa/media cetak, situs di dunia maya, atau ke penerbit. Di era teknologi informasi seperti sekarang ini, menerbitkan tulisan ternyata tidak sesulit yang kita bayangkan. Hanya dengan mengirimnya via email keinginan Anda mengembangkan semangat berbagi bisa terwujud.
Bentuk tulisan yang Anda kirim bisa berupa artikel atau naskah buku, tergantung pilihan Anda. Mengirim artikel relatif sama prosesnya dengan mengirim naskah buku ke penerbit. Menulislah dengan hati, didasari oleh hasrat untuk mengembangkan semangat berbagi, tulus agar bisa mengispirasi orang lain.
Jika Anda menjatuhkan pilihannya ke penerbit kelas kakap seperti Gramedia Pustaka Utama atau mungkin Elek Media Komputindo, maka dominasi buku-buku yang Anda beli sebaiknya buku-buku terbitan Gramedia, Elek Media Komputindo, atau penerbit-penerbit yang lain. Hal ini dimaksudkan agar Anda bisa mengetahui dan menyesuaikan hasil karya Anda dengan mutu dan bentuk buku-buku yang menjadi selera mereka. Agendakan waktu Anda dan alokasikan sebagian rejeki Anda untuk membeli buku secara rutin dan nikmati manfaat yang luar biasa dari membeli buku. Nikmati juga kebahagiaan Anda dari berbagi ilmu pengetahuan khususnya lewat hasil karya tulisan Anda.
